I think a Kindle would be handy for traveling, but I'm not sure I'd use one aside from that. We shall see- they're pretty popular!
My wife has a kindle. She got herself one about six months ago and uses it alot. Not sure if she uses her ipod, kindle or mac-book more, but it is pretty close to a three way tie. ;-}
