A poem..

July 8, 2010 by Nicole 3 Comments

This came to mind today.  I’m not much of a poet, my favs were always haiku’s – really who can get them wrong ;p and I am in awe of anyone who can rhyme.  Writing the spell for my story was challenging to say the least *grin* so here’s a shot.

She walks betwixt

Between the realms she walks
Feet light on the boundary
Others watch
Curious

Her feet stay grounded
As she ascends to the heavens
Snatching glimpses of dreams
Threads to weave
Tapestries to create

Lips whisper words
Eyes dazed
As she passes those on the street
Walking in another world
Visible only to her
And her pen

Beautiful poem! I didn't know it was about a writer until the end 🙂

That was a really pretty poem! I loved the imagery going on. And I'm with Aubrie; I had no idea it was about a writer until the end, and that's the way to do it!

Aww thanks Aubrie & Amanda 🙂 Occurred to me when I left Borders still 'in' the book I'd been reading and received some funny looks from people as I walked back to work *grin* I LOVE Borders, I just wish it'd been in NZ when I was a kid ;p
