Regarding that post I did on equality

This article was published in the Herald a few days ago and I’ve been keeping an eye on the comments since.  Have a read.  Is it just me who finds quite a number of them seriously disturbing?

Well my dear friend, i am glad that a lady came forward to talk against this same shameless acts of women. Just a curious question, have you seen many guys wearing skimpy dresses on public? Then in the name of feminism why is that women want to show their assets in public and attract unnecessary attention. Well, i was shocked to see very young teenage girls asking questions about sex, about getting boy friends and other gender sensitive questions in some sites. Its a sad state of affairs in so called developed nations where girls consider themselves as mermaids and grooms themselves as good trophy girl friends for rich guys and expects them to be taken care off from such young age. Teenage pregnancies has a great relation with so much of uncontrolled dating and abuse of feminist rights. At the end of the day, girls suffer due to their own acts.

Nithin – I find it a touchy subject. I don't like that women are so openly sexualised everywhere and yes there will always be those that make a bad name for the rest of us. But I don't think it's fair that we can't wear what we like without been seen as fore-fitting our right to be 'decent' members of society. For example if I want to wear my over the knee boots why should that make me the one in the wrong? They're just boots, I'm wearing them because they make my legs look lovely and long and I feel good wearing them. If a man thinks that my footwear means I'm easy, well he's in for one hell of a shock. I wish people would get over their body issues and then maybe we'll make progress…

It's not just you. I found a lot of the comments on the icky side of disturbing

Let's face it. If women or girls choose to be sexy, that's entirely different from feeling that their only worth or value comes from being seen as sexy.

    That's not a choice, that's marketing.
