As some of you knew I had to take our dog Otis (the blonde of course *grin*) to the vets last week as his face had developed a large swollen lump. We’d assumed it was a bee sting but as it hadn’t gone done that much over night took him in for a check up as Sable had to go in for her arthritis shot anyway. Well the vet was concerned (not a bee sting..) and said it could be a few things like a tooth, infection or tumour. We took him in the next day for xrays and I spent the day hoping it’d be a tooth and that would be that.
Wasn’t a tooth… *sigh* So they said they’d send the xrays to Massey for a second opinion. I remembered at this point (now who’s the blonde..) that we’d given him half of one of Sable’s pain killers the night we’d discovered it in the hope it might make him forget about it (and not rub it). And of course the next morning the swelling had reduced but as I still thought it was a bee sting I hadn’t thought anything of it. The vet was very excited when I told her and said to give him the tablets for the next few days and see what happens.
And I’m happy to say it’s still going down!! Not gone yet but hopefully soon! Now we suspect he’s sniffed or chocked something into his nose. When he snorts he sounds like a seal barking (freaks Sable out *giggle*) and I keep waiting for a big snotty glob to come hurtling out *ewww* So we’ll take him to the vets on Tuesday and see what they say then. Hopefully by then he’ll have sneezed whatever it is out (and hopefully he’s outside at that moment *lol*). So that’s been a big sigh of relief!
The whole blog design thing was again a headache. Just when I think I’m beginning to get it I screw it up. I think it looks better now but I’m still trying to figure out how to make the header measure up *scowl* is going to annoy me till I fix it ; p I’m also trying to learn how to put different backgrounds on other pages, so that when I do write my stunning new synopsis it’ll have a super cool background. And so I can have a page for pictures that have inspired my work (on a cork board background *grin*) and a couple of others. Maybe by the end of it all I’ll be a pro at it *hee*
Hope your weekends are all going well, I’m going to crawl off to bed I think – am knackered ; p
Ahh the hard life of a dog..

Obviously, you are working those dogs too hard. LOL.
It looks like something I'd see at my house.
The dogs are lucky to have such a good owner.
I could launch into a D/s path, but will leave it there.
;-}
Hope everything continues to improve for Otis. The photo is adorable.

Thoughts in Progress
That is one precious photo! I'll keep my fingers crossed for Otis to keep improving.
Your dogs are so cute! I have two Boxers and 90% of the time, they look like your dogs. Play, bark, sleep, eat, poop. Ah, the life of a dog.
CD
Hi Maria – yeah they think so, specially when I won't let them on 'my seat' *grin*
Hi SH 🙂 Aww thanks
Hi Mason & Kelly – thank you! I hope so too
Hi Clarissa – we have a boxer/great dane cross living next door. He's beautiful and likes to amuse himself by standing and peering over our fence. Otis promptly develops small dog syndrome and goes ballistic *hee* entertains the other dog to no end!
gotta love sleeping dog picts. These guys are awesome.
Hope your dog's all better next week – and that he doesn't snot on your furniture.
