I think there’s something wrong with me..

November 30, 2010 by Nicole 10 Comments

As mentioned in my previous post I’ve essentially finished (and yes I mean FINISHED!! *WOOOHOOOO*) BirthRight apart from probably one or two more edits/proofs.  And it’s fantastic!  I am a little nervous that my current beta readers may hunt me down once they read it… but that’s okay *grin* any reaction is good!
Anyway as I said in the title I think there’s something wrong with me.
Cause I want to write.  Yes I know I have two more books to write for BirthRight but until Book 1 is published I’m hesitant to start on Book 2 (incase my mind is in the wrong place for revisions that may be necessary after the current reviews) and now I’m getting this weird itch to write something!
I hate writing!!  Seriously what’s wrong with me?  I know how much work it is and BirthRight happened cause the story totally seduced me and I can’t stop till it’s done!
But I’m getting this strange idea.. that..
possibly..
maybe..
it’s writing – itself – that has seduced me.
I think I may have fallen in love (sorry Glenn – I still love you too *grin* promise!) with creating the written word.
Wow.  I’m actually stunned.  I thought once BirthRight was over and done I’d be good.  How strange.

So, um, let me get this straight. You wrote a book, fell in love with writing and you think that is strange? Welcome. You are one of use now. we call ourselves writers. That which we love also makes us tear our hair out, but sounds like you knew that already! 🙂

Well done on crossing that finishing line.

Isn't it amazing though that once we are over it, we want to go run another race!

Nope, it's not strange! Writers are just that way. 😀 And maybe they are just nuts in general . . .

It's not strange at all! You are definitely officially a writer now – isn't it the best feeling in the world? 🙂
