I’ve set my e-book price back to $2.99. I did say the cheap-ass price of .99c wouldn’t last forever and while I may drop it back down again for a period of time I do feel it is worth the $2.99 price tag. I hope this doesn’t put anyone off the thought of it. Sales have slowed a little anyway so I’m a little curious to see what happens if I raise it up for a bit and then drop it again.. maybe ;p (and if you want it cheap, grab it NOW before the new price rolls over!)
Oh and WELCOME! To all my new followers – fellow crusaders I suspect J I hope you enjoy my blog and I look forward to visiting yours *grin*
I’m in the process of working out certain days for certain posts. It’ll make posting a tad easier to plan and you’ll know when to pop on to read something of interest. There is the minor issue of you lot in the Northern Hemisphere being a day behind us (slowpokes ;p) but I guess I’ll just welcome you into the new day a little earlier. So far I have planned..
Mondays – Which Actor will play whom? – as in if/when *wink* my book is turned into a movie who I ‘envision’ playing which characters. I do encourage feed back on this from those who’ve read my book.
Tuesdays – Will be riddles (why? Dunno just occurred to me ;p winsome and all that) and the first to solve the riddle will get a free copy of my book in their preferred format (anything but hardcopy *lol*)
Wednesdays – Book review! Now I have a slight issue with this… one is that I may not get a book read every week. Not that I’m slow!! But time, when working and writing book 2, can be a little scarce. The second issue I have is that I’d like to provide an honest review.. but I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. This makes reviewing rather tricky! Okay I’m thinking that I’ll be as honest as possible WITHOUT providing negative thoughts and any extra feedback I’ll let the author know personally. Does this sound okay? I have two books lined up for review at the moment and I’d like to do a bit of an interview with every author whose book I review.
Thursday…*pffftt* not so sure yet.. still thinking… suggestions are welcome!?!
Friday – Aha! Friday Funnies. Could be people/animals/videos OR if you have a funny pic you’d like to submit send it through J be sure to provide a caption and send it to this address nicole@thebirthrighttrilogy.com (and thanks Nate for sorting out my cool new e-mail address!)
Saturday and Sunday – not so sure either.. may just make these ‘whatever’ goes days *grin*
And for any fellow indie authors out there wanting advertising space, I’m very happy to provide you a spot on the left (and yeah I just checked my hands for the ‘L’ to figure out left…) like the lovely Mary McDonald has. It’d just be in exchange for a spot for my book on your blog. I’m also going to arrange a space somewhere (and may be reorganizing blog a little) for the ‘review of the week’ book.
And a general question – do you think it’s worth me having a separate blog for my Trilogy or should I just add pages for it to this blog?
Gd you’d think I was nesting or something!! ( I’m NOT! By the way ;p) I just have this weird urge to be organized.. blame the earth moving *grin*
This new ‘schedule’ for my blog will begin officially next week.. but I may start earlier J
Take care all!
Nic
Buy it today (while it’s still cheap!)

I'd be interested in seeing what happens. I have friends that wont buy .99 cent books because they're afraid they aren't good even though I've told them lots of authors do it…I wonder if your number pick up? Good Luck!
An interesting hypotheses Racquel 🙂 lets put it to the test! 🙂
yep, i think you certainly should, many people will be just as happy to 'risk' $3 as $1. Just my $0.02 *grin*
Not that it IS a risk… but you know what i mean.
No keep the same blog, just add to it for the trilogy. No use spreading yourself too thin. Harder to keep up with.
As for Reviews, goodness you are brave. I have a review in the pipeline (for The Hating Game) that i will be popping up when i need a post but i don't know that i could do them all the time.
i must work something out like that.
good luck

With your Monday thing, sounds like you should sign up for this blogfest:

😀
I'm glad to be here. I'm a fellow South-Hemispherian, from the magical land of Oz. I love the current indie publishing community. It's full of support, hope and promise.
Good luck with your new pricing!!! And whatever you decide – separate blog or add pages – I just know it'll work out ok!!!
I am in AWE at your blogging schedule!
Take care
x
Much success at any price! As to the Trilogy, I'd add pages here, less to keep up with and exposure for both. 🙂

hey Nic
I think i need to do a schedule for blogging too – will make it easier to organise and post!
I think you should add a page to this blog for the trilogy, then it's all in the one place for followers!
Good luck for your posting schedule and the new price of your book – people will still buy it based on the fab reviews you've been getting 😀
My goodness … so organized … a blogging schedule.
Good luck with the new pricing. I just dropped my price from $2.99/£2.29 down to $0.99/£0.70 and I've seen a 50% increase in sales this month. So I think it's a 50/50 toss up of what you want to do and what you think is best for your tittle! I think you make more money at $2.99 but get the volume at .99 (are you making a duh face at me now? I'm making one at myself, lol).
Ah, I think two blogs makes sense for readers who just want to read about your book (then again a website fulfills that purpose), but I personally would come here more often since this is your writers bog.
Cool new look for the blog, btw (I would be amicable to swapping blog space too).
Riddles on Tuesday, huh? I'm not good at solving them, but they still drive me crazy. Thanks for the additional chances to drive me insane!
