I won’t lie, and you know I’ve said it
before. Drafting is hard work, the first draft seems so incredibly clunky and
horrible as you write it. I’ve just taken the time to re-read the first 70+
pages I’ve written and it does lift the weight on my shoulders a bit. It’s not
awful. Not half bad, actually. Sure there’s plenty of changes/additions to be
made, but it’s SO good to know it isn’t awful *lol* and I really am the
harshest critic. It’s tricky, because with the switching POV’s there’s SO much
more I want to convey! Sometimes it feels like I’m writing ten different
stories in one *grin* and I want each of those stories to have a part in it. It
looks like at the moment I’ll aim for a new deadline for getting the first
draft done by the end of June.. and I really am going to work hard for that
