I get a variety of questions about the books/story so I’m trying to address the commonly asked ones, if you have something you’d like to know, either pop a question in the comments at the bottom or flick me a note via the contact form.
Will the books ever come out in paperback?
Yes, hopefully some time this year (2013).
What price will they be?
I don’t know as of yet, I’ll have to see what Createspace tells me *grin* but if I hazard a guess from other indie books I’ve bought I’d think between $12-$20.
In The Arrival you describe Sian as being tiny but she’s a size 6??
A size 6 in NZ is tiny. It’s the smallest size you can buy in adults clothes and not all stores stock it. Each country has their own sizes and you have to remember that the book is set in New Zealand, not America ;p (I think a 6 is around a 2 in American sizing…)
OMG does Cat get raped in book three, how can you do that to her!!?! (I’ve fielded a few of these hysterical messages ;p)
First off, I’m touched that you’re so outraged. Second, NO! *shudder* hell no. I don’t condone rape and certainly won’t write a rape scene. If you read the scene carefully, and apply the rules already clearly stated in books two and three then you’ll see she’s not. Now I’ll try to detail this a bit more without doing spoilers ;p
When the “moment” is close and “Alek” goes to whip his pants off, Leseach interrupts. Then from Cat’s POV we see her describe that deep sleep coming over her, ‘the darkness pulling her down’ and that’s it!! Show’s over and “Alek” has lost the opportunity. Remember it’s not about sex, otherwise that would have happened ages ago, it’s about maybe baby, and Cat HAS to be in that waking dream where she thinks that certain someone is Alek. Later, when “Alek” mocks Leseach, he’s just been an arse – which we all know he is. (Hope that makes sense *lol* getting a mental image of Ross from Friends doing the ” ” motion ;p)
Will you make a compilation of the books?
I’m actually working on that currently, but it will just be available in ebook. I think a paperback version would be far too wieldy (and then you’d miss out on the various pretty covers!). Once I get this e-version sorted then I’ll be on track to get the paperback versions moving along.
What happens after book three – I NEED MORE!!
Okay! No problem ;p While I never set out to continue past the Trilogy, I have left more than enough plot lines open (as you’ve clearly noticed) SO, I am working on a book that follows after the trilogy and that book, AfterBurn, will lead into a five book series on Gar’nyse.
What was the first cover to the Omnibus edition? Why didn’t you keep it? Who created it?
